Beko Dishwasher Error Codes & Easy Fixes: A Friendly Guide

We've all been there—you load up your Beko dishwasher, press start, and suddenly… beep! A strange error code flashes on the display, and your dishes are left hanging. Don't panic. Whether you're dealing with E01, E09, or anything in between, we're here to help you understand what those codes mean, and how to fix them without the stress.

Why Do Error Codes Show Up?

Your Beko dishwasher is smarter than you might think. These error codes are its way of saying, "Hey, something's not quite right." Instead of just breaking down silently, it gives you a clue about what's going wrong.

Below are some of the most common Beko dishwasher error codes, what they mean, and what you can do about them.

🔧 E01 – Water Inlet Error

What it means: The dishwasher isn't getting enough water.

Fix it:

  • Check if the water tap is fully open.
  • Make sure the hose isn't kinked or blocked.
  • Clean the inlet filter (where the water hose connects to the machine).

⚠️ E02 – Heater Fault

What it means: There's an issue with heating the water.

Fix it:

  • This usually needs a qualified engineer. It could be a faulty heating element or thermostat.
  • Avoid DIY here—water and electricity don't mix!

🚿 E03 – Drainage Problem

What it means: The dishwasher isn't draining properly.

Fix it:

  • Check the drain hose for blockages.
  • Clean the filters at the bottom of the machine.
  • Make sure your sink's plumbing isn't backed up.

💧 E04 – Overflow or Water Leak

What it means: The dishwasher thinks there's a leak.

Fix it:

  • Pull the machine out slightly and check for any signs of leaking water.
  • Make sure it's sitting level and hasn't shifted.
  • If you see water in the base tray, it may have triggered the anti-flood system. This might need professional attention.

🔌 E09 – Software or Control Board Error

What it means: Something's not right in the electronics.

Fix it:

  • Try turning the dishwasher off at the wall for 10 minutes to reset it.
  • If the error persists, it could be a control board issue. Time to call in a pro.
